We started
out selling protection to motorcyclists, therefore most of our testimonials
are cycle related.
We're very
grateful for feedback from customers. Although we hope you won't have
to test our armor in action, we hope you'll send in any ski related
testimonials.
The following came into our office as unsolicited reports, reproduced

SNOWBOARD & MOTORCYCLES
Just want to let you know that I love the Adventure pants as this is my 3rd season with them. I loved them so much that I ordered 2 more: 1 for my fiance and one for a friend. Then, more of our friends caught onto the craze and bought some. We use them for both motorcycling and snowboarding as they function so well for both. They're cool enough in the summer and warm enough in the winter...that kind of versatility can't be beat. And as an FYI, we're still looking to purchase some more as we continue to share our "best practices" with our other friends.
Sincerely,
Rob D, NJ
SMOKIN' MAN!
Your stuff smokes! Although my body is older than the young kids who are jumping on snowboards, my mind is still young! Trouble is I don't want to get hurt which is why I bought your stuff. The Red Crusader and Adventure shorts look real sharp, and I tested them real good today!! :-). I recommend to anyone beginner or not.

Motorcycles & Hockey Too!
I bought a set of the europe shirt plus adventure armoured pants last Spring and have worn them all season under my leathers. These are wonderful products and I have told just about anyone who would listen all about the profound protection one gets with comfort.
Now that the bike is in winter storage, I decided to join a pickup ladies ice hockey team. For protection on the ice I am using your armoured pants and shirt!! They are great for hockey too! Now my armoured gear gets to be used ALL YEAR around. The girls on the team have made some pretty favourable comments on Bohn's style and protection.
I certainly get my equipment on and off a lot faster than the other players and I feel just as protected if not better than buying and using traditional hockey gear. I just wear my textile motorcycle pants over the adventure pants for even more protection at the knees and hip. I told the girls on the team that someday I might be wearing this Bohn armour as protection from falls when I'm 80 years old! The tailbone armour is most important in hockey.

I'm into motorcycles during
summer, so I knew about the Bohn Armored gear already.
After seperating my shoulder in a fall a couple of years ago, I sure do not need any injury in this
area again.
But I 'm hooked on the buzz I get from boarding.
Thanks Mister Bohn for making
a neat product that makes me feel protected and comfortable

DR. GREGORY FRAZIER
 "I
hammered the Bohn Body Armor across Africa for 5 months. While it does
not stop bullets or spears it took its licks and "kept on ticking."
It has found a home with the rest of my 'round the world riding gear.'
Can not beat the shirt in hot weather, washes easy and gives you what
you need when you take a hit. I view wearing the Bohn pants and shirt
as an investment in your well being when it is too hot to cook in the
Gortex pants and jacket.

BLUE AND WHITE AIRTEX SHIRT
I just wanted to say that
your Blue and White Airtex armored shirt recently saved me, my elbow
and my shoulder from serious injury. I hit an oil patch the other day
and after losing all control I fell off the back of the bike.
After tumbling and rolling
I was able to stand up and take my Airtex shirt off. I felt a soreness
in my left elbow and shoulder and upon examining the shirt I saw that
the elbow/shoulder padding had absorbed a great deal of the collision.
I am sure that if I hadn't
been wearing the shirt I would be in the hospital with broken bones
or worse. Though, I would recommend that the rider wear a light jacket
or fleece over the shirt to avoid some of the otherwise minor scrapes
and abrasions. It is definitely a good product.

CRASH TEST
I recently purchased 2 body
shirts from you and we really like them a lot. Unfortunately my husband
met with an RV on our motorcycle vacation and had his body shirt cut
off him by the medics. Is it possible to purchase an XXL bodyshirt without
the armor? By the way, we were really lucky to escape with a few broken
bones that are now on their way to mending. We really believe the armor
had a lot to do with our escape and were glad we were wearing it at
the time.
Peter suffered a broken clavicle,
ribs and road rash. His jeans belt had road rash on the front side and
back from spinning around on the road. We believe the body armor protected
his back and arms and I am sure his shoulder would have been much worse
without the protection. Neither of us will beriding without the protection
in future. It scares me to think of the youngsters in Florida that only
wear shorts when riding.

FITTING & RIDING
10/9/98 - Got the shirt today.............it
is absolutely great! the fit is right on, and the pads stay where they
should................what's really great is that now I can wear ANY
leather I want, and feel comfortable that I have some protection!
I used to be very uncertain
about what style jacket I would buy/wear, based on what kind of armor
it contained..........now it doesn't matter-with this shirt on, any
jacket is armored.................in fact, I am "armored"
even without a jacket on! Great product! I will tell my rider friends,
and they will no doubt be in touch....thanks again! Paul Dimarchi
10/10/98 - hey Paul, I just
did a 300 mile ride with the Bohn shirt on, under light leathers............the
temperature ranged from 41 to 78(F)...........this product is great!
Fortunately, I did not subject the armor to any stress tests, but I
did take off and put on my jacket several times, and used different
layers of clothing to adjust for the temperature (always with the Bohn
shirt under it all)............. and the fit, convenience, and comfort
of the Bohn shirt is exceptional............you can truly forget it's
there..........thanks again,

BOHN SYSTEM COOL BACK PROTECTOR
The new breathable Bohn back
protector is amazingly comfortable. Unlike others I have used in the
past it is easy to forget you're wearing it. Only when I go to remove
my leathers am I reminded I have it on.
I used it at Roebling Road
Raceway recently on a day that was near the limit of what I could stand
as far as heat and humidity -- no "steambath back." Great stuff!

RACER'S "TRACK TEST"
Guys -
I really can't thank you enough for creating such an awesome product.
This past weekend I had a nasty get-off which involved me, seven feet
of hang-time, and tarmac. At first, I was weary about spending so much
money on a spine protector, but now I'm glad that I did. It saved me from
certain injury and I will back this product one hundred percent. All the
bystanders couldn't believe that it held to gether, of course, all they
had were cheap plastic plates. But again, in closing, this thing rocks.
If there is anything better out there, it must be magic.
Best Regards
Ben Napier

p.s. - I would love to display
you guys. Do you have any decals I could post on the machine?
Before undertaking the test
on his equipment, Ben was riding a ZX7 at the Putnam Park road course.
CARBON/KEVLAR BACK PROTECTOR
(Thanks to Howard Hecht
for forwarding this message that circulated on the ST1100 mail list)
You may be interested in the
clipping below from a posting by Whit Brown to the ST1100 mail list.
Whit was describing a conversation
with the Dr. after his accident:
>>snip<<
He asked what I had hit, I told him 'rocks and trees.' He then asked
what I was wearing. I squeaked out "full helmet, heavy jacket, back
protector, gloves, boots and jeans." He then asked me to describe the
back protector. I did so including the seven carbon-kevlar panels sewn
along the spine line. He then looked again at the films and my back
and said "I can see the patterned bruising of four of those panels on
your back. Looks like they deflected one hell of a lot of impact. There's
not a doubt in my mind that your spine would have been snapped in at
least three places without that protector, at least you did one thing
right today," and sauntered off.
[There's a message here,
dear hearts. This back protector only cost $139+$5 S&H from www.actionstation.com,
please think about it.]
